Amidst hosting the last online qualifiers for the Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge, Krafton has released a preview video on the BGMI 2.0 update patch notes. Players looking forward to the event can finally take a look as to what Krafton has prepared for them for the May update.
Battlegrounds Mobile India will soon be completing its 1 year of launch and it can be undoubtedly said that the developers have been working tirelessly to push out updates at the regular interval of two months.

BGMI 2.0 update patch notes
Krafton has not mentioned the release date for BGMI 2.0 update but from the announcement made by PUBG Mobile, it can be assumed that the new patch will be making its way to BGMI on or after May 13th. Tencent has already started pushing ourt updates and players will be able to enjoy these features anytime soon.
Official Livik
Livik, a relatively smaller map of BGMI features 52 players with a beautiful landscape and difficult terrain. Until now, players were able to enjoy the beta version of Livik map but BGMI 2.0 update will launch the official map. Here are the new features-
Terrain and objects remodeling
Livik will be provided an urban makeover as several major locations such as Blomster, Midstein will be redesigned to give a modern outlook to the map. There will be some unique structures that can only be seen in Livik.
New vehicle & XT weapons
A new vehicle named UTV will only be available in Livik. It is going to be a high-speed 4-seater vehicle but players should be careful while driving as their heads will exposed to the enemies. Apart from the new vehicle, there will be a XT weapon shops where the following weapons can be upgraded-
- AKM
- M416
- P90
- MK12
- M24
New interactable zones
Several entertaining zones will be available in the Livik after BGMI 2.0 update is released in the game. A football mini game where shop tokens can be earned, HP reviving herbs scattered around Livik and a firearm depot will be available around the map where special supplies can be found.
Special airdrops and recall towers
Livik will bring some special air drops which will be marked in the mini map. Players can travel to these locations but they should be aware of the ambushing enemies near the air drops. Players can also call back their dead teammates through the recall towers placed in different locations.
Cheer Park
The 1.9 update had enlarged the Cheer Park, a social arena in the game. The new update will add a fun minigame in the cheer park where players can play football, take it to the goalpost and earn points to challenge their friends.
Classic update
Emergency pickup
A new item will spawn in classic matches starting from the BGMI 2.0 update. Players can use this item in order to call for a rescue plane that will help them to travel in the middle of the zone and escape from the enemies. This item can also be used along with teammates.
BGMI 2.0 update will also make some firearm changes for the shotguns and will increase their base damage. Players should check out the official website of BGMI for more updates.
