The eSports scenario of BGMI is going to commence within a few days for this year as Krafton has announced back-to-back tournaments on a full swing for amateur players as well as professional eSports athletes.

As announced by Krafton in the roadmap of BGMI Esports 2022, the first tournament named Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge (BMOC 2022) is going to take place this month whose registrations are going to commence shortly. Similar to BGIS which took place last year and was a massive hit, BMOC 2022 is going to be an open for all tournament whose details have been discussed in this article.

Following a delay of a number of days, the registrations for Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge or popularly known as BMOC 2022 is going to take place from March 14th and continue till 27th March. As Krafton has a dedicated website for BGMI Esports, players can register themselves by providing the required information.

However, they need to note that only players who have an account Level of above 25 and have crossed the Platinum V Tier. Further eligibility criteria might also be provided once Krafton releases the additional details of BMOC 2022.

Format and schedule

BMOC 2022 will be the stepping stone for BGMI India Pro Series 2022 as the qualified teams will compete along with 32 invited teams to grab a slot at the Pro Series. Upon successful registration and meeting the criteria of BMOC 2022, players will be able to play the in-game qualifiers out of which 512 teams will make it to the first round.

Round 2 will feature 256 teams and only 64 teams will be left in Round 3. Out of these teams, only the top 32 teams will able to qualify for the last round of the tournament where they need to compete head-to-head with 32 invited teams. The top thirty-two teams from the last round can further qualify to the Pro Series which will provide a prize of 75 lakhs to the winner.


Krafton has kept up a prize pool of 6 Crore INR which is the highest ever in India. Since it is going to be the first tournament of BGMI Esports this year, players might give their best performances and even improving the performance given at BGIS 2021. With many roster shuffles this year, fans will be certainly excited to watch BMOC 2022.
