Shadow joined GodLike

GodLike Esports recently added a new member to their roster. While all the previous additions were hailed by the community, the recent player has drawn controversy. Arjun “SHADOW” Mandhalkar was signed by the homegrown eSports organization recently and the player has also been registered to play the upcoming NODWIN LAN tournament.

However, TSM India claimed that their player ‘Shadow’ was poached. In the eSports scenario, organizations are liable to ask the current organizations of a certain player to loan out the player or other issues for tournaments. However, Team Solomid alleged GodLike Esports of signing ‘Shadow’ officially without even contacting them.

What did TSM say?

Team Solomid India claimed that BGMI player ‘Shadow’ is making false allegations just because he got benched. Moreover, GodLike Esports did not give a loan agreement as other professional teams do. Jeff “SuiJeneris” Chau, the Director of TSM Mobile also spoke up on the controversial matter by releasing some personal Whatsapp chats of him and Shadow.

"Poaching/tampering is a dangerous and dishonest practice—it harms players, orgs, and turns good fans on each other"

Mr. Jeff states that ‘Shadow’ is confused about being ‘loaned’ and ‘released’ for free. Moreover, he also mentioned that the player negotiations should be done between the organizations but BGMI player ‘Shadow’ told him that GodLike Esports is not ready to have the ‘buyout’ talks.

BGMI player ‘Shadow’ only commented that he is having toxic relations with his current organization (TSM) and asking his fans for support in this worsening situation. Fans, on the other hand, are divided on this controversial issue where some are speaking on behalf of GodLike whereas others side with TSM.

With an upcoming LAN event of BGMI hosted by NODWIN Gaming that is going to be broadcasted on television for the first time, it is unfortunate to see reputed eSports organizations breaking into an agreement with both claiming to take legal action against each other.
