There’s no surprise to COD franchises delivering one hit after another. With recent drops from Activision, games like Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 have been quite the gamer magnets. With new news surfacing hinting at work for the new Call of Duty 2023, the name for it isn’t going to be an easy task. Although people believed it would be named COD 2023, that is not the case.

Previously, Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Reloaded arrived on May 10 and also teased the entry of the much-awaited Warzone 2. Warzone 2 ranked play beta arrived with it. However, this also does not quench the thirst of Call of Duty fans. With new arrivals of features in the game, it’s always about the next big thing to give a shot at.

Call of Duty 2023 to be released as Call of Duty MW3?

Popular Call of Duty insider Tom Henderson gave an insight about the upcoming Call of Duty title. The report from Insider Gaming claims that Call Of Duty 2023 will be renamed as Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Whether or not the this would have any connection to older COD MW3 is not confirmed. but it surely will have connection to story from MW2. The game is set to release in August 2023. This announcement was made just before the Season 3 Reloaded update, which improved the game. The new emerging Call of Duty will be titled Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.

But that is not all there is to it. Reports suggest an estimation of a new Warzone map that will be included exclusively for Modern Warfare 3 which would follow with Season 1. For now, the supposed date of release for the same is decided on December 5, 2023. If everything goes right with the news and developers, fans can expect to see the release of the game within a month of its release date along with the game and its Warzone map of Season 1.

COD MW3 to have new Warzone maps in the game?

The map of Warzone will also feature Las Almas territory that players have already gotten accustomed to in the MW2 campaign. Other than the campaign and multiplayer fronts, the Zombie mode in Modern Warfare is going to be Outbreak 2.0 whose predecessor was a huge success in zombie mode.

It’s also noteworthy that this time around Sledgehammer has taken the reign of this game. The famous developers will be back in action with the new COD Modern Warfare 3. It is interesting to note that on the campaign front. The story will take on Modern Warfare 2 and where it left off. The game has been teased to have a release event in Warzone in August 2023.
