Call of Duty: First Map Layout in Modern Warfare 2 is Out! What Can We Take Away From it?
Activision has given a few teasing sneak peeks into Modern Warfare 2 for a while, and now it has revealed the layout of the first map in the game. On September 13, Call of Duty revealed on its Twitter, “Want a sneak peek of one of our favorite new maps?” This serves to be another teaser just ahead of Modern Warfare 2’s upcoming multiplayer reveal at the Call of Duty Next event on September 15.
Activision doesn’t add names to the images, so you get a map layout with lots of space to create and some circular structures. Based on the roads winding through the map’s restricted areas, some were quick to speculate that it was the Marina Bay Grand Prix map in the game. the urban racetrack map featured in last month’s Call of Duty League Finals.

There are also suggestions to the contrary such as that the map layout is for the Museum. A glimpse of the Museum map was given during the Modern Warfare 2 public reveal event in June. Whichever map the layout turns out to be, or even if it turns out to be something different, there would still be much hype for it.
In addition to a full multiplayer reveal in Call of Duty Next, event presentations will also include details on Warzone 2 and the recently announced Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. The Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer open beta also starts on September 16, a day after Activision’s Call of Duty Next event.
