In a surprising turn of events, real-world football superstars Lionel Messi and Neymar da Silva Santos Jr are both set to appear in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as operators.
Set for release later this month, Activision Blizzard’s Modern Warfare 2 has already set record-high expectations with trailers and the beta. However, when it comes to hype, Modern Warfare 2 doesn’t seem to be going easy, and is heavily hyping up the game.

His claims are very credible, as many of his previous revelations have turned out to be true. This account tweeted a list of unannounced Operators in Modern Warfare 2. It consists of several names which, if added, could be of great interest to the community.
It looks like football legends like Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. will be part of a possible Modern Warfare 2 crossover event with FIFA. Several other operator names appear to match the names of world-class footballers who will represent their respective countries at the FIFA 23 World Cup in Qatar later this year.

Messi and Neymar Jr. are among the most famous names in modern football. Messi is considered the greatest footballer of all time and his teamwork with Neymar Jr. at Barcelona and now PSG has become a fan favorite. However, these players are not yet confirmed to be added as characters or operators.
Other prominent leakers such as AFK Gaming has also said that Messi and Neymar could feature in the game. The developers say they have big plans for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. The idea of these football players being added as operators in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a very real possibility.
