Hardcore Mode will now be known as Tier 1 in Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 seems to have come under fire for leaving out certain important parts of its game and user interface. Fans have noticed that there are missing pieces in the new game and are claiming it to be “incomplete”.

Factors such as Medals, Personal Barracks, and mainly Hardcore Mode have been pointed out by many as areas that Modern Warfare 2 is lacking in. Some players are frustrated with the exclusion of Hardcore Mode in the new game as it seems to affect their gameplay.

In Hardcore Mode, player health is more than halved, meaning that almost all weapons produce one shot kills. The hardcore mode isn’t available at launch but Infinity Ward has confirmed that it will be added at a later date.

Modern Warfare 2 is now live globally

There are still plenty of other multiplayer modes available such as Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint but if players are looking for the extra challenge that Hardcore offers, they will need to wait a little longer.

This could be the case for the other areas left out in Modern Warfare 2 as well, such as Personal Barracks, Challenges to earn Calling Cards, statistics, and more to be included after a little time in the new game passes. Confusingly, Hardcore is now renamed to Tier 1 in Modern Warfare 2, so players should take note of the new name if they see Tier 1 in future updates.
