Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Developers Address the ‘Party’ Bug Issue

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released worldwide today on all platforms. As with most releases, Infinity Ward has received many bug complaints. PC gamers seem to be having more problems than console gamers.

The developers are aware of the problem and are working on it. The game is crashing completely when players are in a party. This is preventing players from playing with their friends, which is one of the main features of Call of Duty.

Infinity Ward Says it is Working on the Issues Faced by Players in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

With millions of players online now playing crossplay across all platforms, bugs are bound to be prevalent in Modern Warfare 2. Developers likely have a list of such glitches that urgently need to be fixed, and this one is at the top of the list. Infinity Ward has responded to the issue by saying it is investigating the issue.

This issue has been reported more frequently by Modern Warfare 2 players playing multiplayer with friends. For now, you can switch to other available game modes such as Special Ops to avoid frequent crashes.

The cause has not been identified by Infinity Ward and players do not know how to avoid this in-game. Currently, the only solution is for them to play alone, which is against the fun. However, it’s more annoying when the game crashes occasionally.

Since this is a server-side issue, normal troubleshooting solutions such as reinstalling the game, restarting the PC, restarting the router, reinstalling the drivers, and playing the game with all settings on lowest will not work. Players will have to wait until Infinity Ward fixes this issue on its own or releases a ‘how to’ solution for players, which will allow them to play Modern Warfare 2 with their friends on different platforms.

Modern Warfare 2’s first major update is set to take place on November 16th and it will fix most of the urgent bugs and glitches. However, players can expect this particular issue to be fixed in the coming days.
