Hackers are running riot in Modern Warfare 2

Even though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has only been out for two weeks, it appears that some gamers have already begun abusing the game’s cheats. These days, cheaters can be found in a lot of multiplayer games, and doing so is really challenging.

Users who preordered Modern Warfare 2 were able to experience the game’s campaign one week before the multiplayer and Special Ops game modes became live on October 28. Some players were able to complete the campaign before switching to multiplayer, and they even received some extra items as rewards.

Despite producers adopting a variety of anti-cheat methods, competitive shooters like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 frequently attract hackers every year. The Ricochet anti-cheat software is used in Modern Warfare 2 to avoid such occurrences, but it appears that some players are still able to employ cheats.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a player utilizing hacks is caught in a brief video that TJGM posted on Reddit. There are two deaths in it, and TJGM has provided kill cam footage for each one.

In the first, the enemy leaps around a corner and shoots TJGM with a headshot with pinpoint precision, and aiming before even seeing TJGM as well. The same opponent kills the player through the wall in the second clip, but it doesn’t appear like they had any means of knowing TJGM’s precise location with such accuracy.

Some remarks indicate that wall hacks are being used by cheaters to track opponents through walls. In Modern Warfare 2, with no UAV for the other side, one player also described getting shot through walls despite using the Dead Silence field upgrade. A few players voiced their frustration at PC users and demanded that Activision include a console-only cross-play feature in Call of Duty games to stop this from happening.
