Killcams will supposedly be customizable in Modern Warfare 2
Online reports claim that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will soon offer the option to personalize Killcams. Along with a wealth of other customization choices, players will have the option of selecting between “Final Kill” or “Play of the Game” as their Killcam.
Since the beginning of the Call of Duty series, killcams have been present, with Call of Duty 3 being the only game without killcams. Killcams, which show a player’s death from the killer’s perspective, have proven a reliable way to see the brilliant moves performed during a game or the decisive blow that brought the battle to an end.
Customizable Killcams Could be Coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
On November 13, Ralph Klien, who goes by @RalphsValve on Twitter, posted that it was rumored that Modern Warfare 2 would allow players to customize their killcams. According to Ralph, users have the option of selecting the “Final Killcam” or the “Play of the Game,” and they can also heavily customize it using a variety of templates, GIFs, messages, graphics, audio, and other elements.
The patent that conceptualizes the customizable Killcams is the foundation for these rumors. The patent, which Call of Duty has a license for, demonstrates the addition of images, messages, videos, audio, and more. Players can save them in specific templates, which when activated will display a personalized Killcam.
Additionally, it appears that players can choose a “Trigger” event, which is most likely to be the last kill or play of the game. Users will also be able to employ the default Killcams that come with the game, according to the patent.

East London-based writer RalphsValve is a well-known insider in the Call of Duty community who has revealed numerous details of a Call of Duty game before its release. He previously leaked a lot of accurate Modern Warfare 2 information.
Whether this system is exclusive to Modern Warfare 2 or whether it will be used in other subsequent games in the franchise is unknown. Even though it is common knowledge that video game firms patent many concepts, it is still unclear whether the technology would be used in the final version of Modern Warfare 2.
