Fans can gear up for the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

The launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is within reach of the fans. The new game is set to go live for everyone on October 28, and there is plenty of hype surrounding it. The Early Access went live on October 20, and it had mostly positive responses.

As is often the case with most game releases, unless you’re playing on PC, Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer release times will vary depending on what part of the world you’re in. For PC players, the release time is the same all across the globe.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Release Times

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will launch globally at 12:00 am Eastern on Friday, October 28. Based on what Activision has highlighted, the breakdown of the release of the game for other time zones will be as given below:

  • PDT: 9 pm, October 27
  • EDT: 12 am, October 28
  • GMT: 5 am, October 28
  • CEST: 6 am, October 28
  • JST: 1 pm, October 28
  • AEDT: 3 pm, October 28

Modern Warfare 2 will launch simultaneously in all the regions at the above mentioned times for PC players on Steam and Battle.net. For console players however, the rollout is a little different. The rollout for console players starts at 4am PDT (Pacific Time) on Thursday and ends at 9pm along with the global PC launch.

On PlayStation and Xbox, Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer will release at midnight local time. The exception is in North America, where it’ll release everywhere once it hits midnight on the East Coast. This means for those on the West Coast, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will launch at 9pm on Thursday.

Players of the game are warned not to change their console’s regional settings to get Modern Warfare earlier than their region is set to get it. According to the developer, doing so risks players being banned from the game entirely until the official release time in their respective region.
