The highly anticipated Season 3 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 is set to launch on April 12. Before the update, Activision has teased some exciting new content that players can expect. In addition to several balance adjustments, the update will introduce a brand-new multiplayer map for Modern Warfare 2 and the arrival of ‘Ranked Play’ for Warzone 2.
As of now, Activision has not revealed any details about the new map. However, it did confirm that the map will be set under the cover of night. This will give players a new and unique environment to battle it out in.
It’s currently unclear whether the map will be available for 6v6 play only or if it will be compatible with larger game modes.

On the Warzone 2 side of things, players can look forward to the arrival of Ranked Play. This game mode will offer players a new competitive element to the game. However, this mode will not be available at the start of Season 3. Players will need to wait a bit longer for its arrival.
In addition to the new map and Ranked Play, the Season 3 update will also introduce the return of the Intervention sniper rifle. The popular sniper’s return is sure to please longtime fans of the series.
Activision has confirmed that the Resurgence mode will be coming to the Al Mazrah map in Warzone 2. Furthermore, the long-awaited return of Plunder from the original Warzone will also be included in the update. Plunder is a modified battle royale mode in which players compete to collect one million in cash to win.
