Players of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 are not happy with hackers finding loopholes for a recent sniper weapon nerf meant to eliminate the temporary one-shot kill tactic. This transpired as Warzone 2’s St. Patrick’s Day event came to an end.
In Call of Duty: Warzone 2, snipers continue to be one of the most crucial resources on the battlefield, as expected. This makes them quite viable owing to their gameplay utility and functionality. However, they are infamously underwhelming in Warzone 2 compared to earlier games.

The Victus XMR sniper has been removed by Call of Duty: Warzone 2 developers
However, a developer-built a one-shot feature for snipers called Shillelagh, was actually created around the Victus XMR sniper. It was always meant to be taken out of the Call of Duty: Warzone 2 game after the event.
Sadly, cheats and hackers have come up with a solution to sneak it in again. This is clearly annoying and damaging to those who follow the rules or who just desire in-game options that would have less of an impact, such LAN-style gaming.
One-shot snipers are less common in Warzone 2 than they were in earlier Call of Duty games as their role has been reduced. Although there have been a few manipulable bugs and exploits in Warzone 2, one-shot snipers haven’t really been there. However, there have been speculations that this may change in upcoming seasons.
Players on both sides of the argument are, needless to say, rather enraged about the situation. Along with other common Warzone 2 problems and grievances outside of hacking and cheating, both sides are frustrated in regard to the hackers who created the loophole and the notion that the Shillelagh was even removed.
Having said that, it’s very feasible that Warzone 2 would simply prohibit hackers and cheaters from participating. Players will have to make do with other means of resolving the issue at the moment as the community waits to see how the Call of Duty: Warzone 2 crew addresses this situation.
