Fans just love TV shows & movie adaptations made after the games they love. The Witcher book & game series’ Netflix adaptation received a lot of love and success from the fan base. And so did Riot Games TV series, Arcane, based on their popular game, League of Legends. Furthermore, considering this success in mind, the Chinese Giant & mother company behind Riot Games, Tencent, may be working on a Valorant movie, set to release in 2025.

Fans, especially, know how good Riot Games are regarding their spectacular cinematics and music videos. Almost every new Episode or Act in Valorant or even a new agent releases along with a special cinematic video. Moreover, League of Legends has a vast amount of songs and cinematics dedicated to the game. The detailing and quality of these media pieces establish Riot Games’ capabilities in producing forms of media apart from just games.

Furthermore, after the success of Riot Game‘s League of Legends series, Arcane, pushing forward for a Valorant movie doesn’t seem like a bad idea. Fans have been actively asking for one for a while now, and their wishes seem to have been answered.

Riot Games’ 2021 release of the action-adventure television series Arcane shook up the League of Legends community. Under the direction of Riot Games, the French animation company Fortiche created it; Netflix provided the distribution. Moreover, critics & fans praised Arcane’s debut season for its animation, story, worldbuilding, action scenes, emotional impact, and musical score, which consisted of just nine episodes.

After Arcane’s huge success, a movie based on Valorant is supposedly in the works, with a 2025 release date anticipated. Social media data miners widely publicized this development. Kingdom Laboratories, one of such prominent data miner handles, reported regarding the potential movie. Furthermore, Tencent will make this upcoming movie with Riot Games as collaborators. In the Twitter port, the date miners said,

“Work is still in production, and it will all be made in China by Tencent. The trailer will premiere on October 13, 2024, at 00:00 GMT.”

It will reportedly differ from Arcane and be produced in China, according to the reports. It’s assumed that the animation closely resembles the UNITED TOGETHER cinematic, which was released as part of Valorant’s official China debut. Fans have been long since asking for a Valorant movie or series, and they’re finally getting one. Although there’s over a year left for the trailer launch, fans are eagerly waiting for any further news.
