Claims of a Halo Infinite leak With a Battle Royale twist, Warzone is making a comeback

Although Halo Infinite is nearing the end of its first season, many of the game’s fundamental elements, such as cooperative campaign multiplayer, are still in the works. While more upgrades and content are on the way in the near and far future, it’s safe to assume that developer 343 Games has a few tricks up its sleeve as well.

One of these ruses might be the revival of Halo 5’s famous Warzone multiplayer mode, although in a modified form with aspects from recent battle royale games thrown in for good measure. A recent Halo Infinite leak has revealed a work-in-progress match modifier menu that, among other things, hides a number of intriguing Warzone-like elements.

While big gaming personalities have already been leaking a tonne of information on the rumoured Halo Infinite battle royale feature, 343 has yet to make any official announcements, nor have there been any actual signs that such a mode was being worked on in the first place. A Halo Infinite mode modification panel featuring a range of Warzone-themed features, including the ability to respawn via drop pods, containment zone toggles, and more, is clearly visible in HaloHub’s images.

According to the leak, this new “Warzone” battle royale will not be released anytime soon, which is bad news for the game’s fanbase. With the narrative co-op mode, multiplayer Forge editor, and the rumoured battle royale mode still in development, it might be argued that Halo Infinite needs additional multiplayer content. It remains to be seen whether Season 2 – Lone Wolves succeeds in achieving that goal.

Because of all of these content release delays and pushbacks, Halo Infinite players may lose interest in co-op by the time it is released. Whatever the new leaked multiplayer mode is, it could be at risk if the team takes too long to release it.
