Cloud 9 is set to sign 2 new pros to complete their Valorant roster
Two new pro players join Cloud 9's Valorant roster ahead of VCT Americas 2023
A few weeks after getting eliminated by DRX at VCT LOCK//IN Cloud 9 witnessed multiple departures from their Valorant roster. El Diablo, Yay parted his way from his new org Cloud 9. Soon after Yay’s departure, C9’s IGL Vanity also left the org. Cloud 9 signed Yay just a few months ago and letting go of the biggest Valorant pro came as a quite shock.
However, it is what it is. After the intense competition at the VCT Lock/In, it was time for all franchised teams to go back and compete in their respective regional tournaments. So, fans wanted to know who would be the new players to replace the IGL Vanity and Yay for the VCT Americas 2023. Apparently, Cloud 9 has found their new players for the upcoming Valorant tournament. The organization is set to sign Jake “Jakee” Anderson and Dylan “Runi” Cade for its valiant team.

Jakee and Runi will replace Yay and Vanity in Cloud 9’s Valorant roster
When compared to players like Yay and Vanity, these players are relatively unknown, and some people worry that this may put too much pressure on them because the “heat” in the community can occasionally be intolerable. Jakee and Runi are quite good players in their own right and can become beneficial for the C9. Runi was part of the Soniqs and acted as the IGL from April 2022 to January 2023. On the other hand, Jakee has yet to compete at the highest-tier valiant tournament. He has been competing at the college level. Earlier, Jakee also tried to qualify for the Valorant Challengers League with his team, NSIC. However, they failed to get the spot.
Getting a spot in Cloud 9’s Valorant team is not a small feat. Both of these young lads have a job in their hands to fill in for a great IGL and the best player in the Valorant. It will also give them good exposure and people will start to know about both of them, especially Jakee.
Here’s the new Valorant roster for Cloud 9:
- Nathan ‘leaf’ Orf
- Erick ‘Xeppaa’ Bach
- Jordan ‘Zellsis’ Montemurro
- Jake ‘jakee’ Anderson
- Dylan ‘runi’ Cade
- Mateja ‘qpert’ Mijovic
- Hasan ‘BlackHeart’ Hammad
After a disappointing tournament, Cloud 9 definitely wants to bounce back and will try to qualify for VCT Champions 2023 and VCT Master: Tokyo.
