Developers create a “virtual eSports stadium” for CS: GO tournament viewers
Viewers can now enjoy CS: GO tournaments like never before.

With the CS: GO eSports tournaments growing in popularity over the years, viewers have always watched the events either by visiting the venue or watching the broadcast of the event at their homes. However, this changes as Virtex Stadium has announced the introduction of the “Virtual eSports Stadium” for CS:GO tournaments.
The Virtex Stadium is a virtual stadium experience for CS:GO eSports tournaments for viewers to watch the broadcast. It even allows the recreation of the 3D version of the map that is being played in. The application allows viewers to create their own 3D avatars to join your friends in enjoying the events in the virtual stadium. The Closed Beta of the app is going to start soon with CS: GO being its first game to be broadcasted. Although the first event hasn’t been announced by the developers yet.
The Virtex Stadium is a free to access app that can be downloaded on Windows through all platforms that the app has partnered with. So far the only platform it is being released on is Steam. However they plan on releasing it to Oculus and Epic Games in the near future. The full release date for the app hasn’t been announced yet but the Closed beta has been announced for the end of summer 2023. People can join the waitlist for the Closed Beta by heading to the app’s website and signing up for it.

Dr. DisRespect’s Virtual eSports Stadium
Following the tweet about the newly announced Virtex Stadium, Dr. DisRespect replied to the tweet saying he had done this 6 years ago. The YouTube streamer even posted a video showing the proof for his statement.
The video posted by Dr. DisRespect from 6 years ago shows him showcasing the virtual eSports stadium, Boom on his live stream. He explains the mechanics of how it works. The viewers are able to put on their Virtual Reality googles and dive into the game broadcast. They will be able to look at the game from their own perspective. The buyout of teams are also shown on the top right of the screen.
