Eivor from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is Coming to Fortnite, According to a Rumor
Fortnite, an online battle royale game, has already included in-game skins for a variety of popular video game characters that players can earn, buy, and equip. Some characters even get tie-in weaponry and vehicles based on well-known game components.
Fortnite fans are always on the lookout for information and speculations regarding which characters might be added to the game next. One rumour now suggests that a character from the most recent edition of a popular series may have been leaked.
Fortnite has released the third chapter of its second season, with the general theme of “Resistance.” Several additional skins and characters have been announced so far, mostly through the Battle Pass subscription service.
New Marvel crossovers such as Prowler and Dr. Strange, who will debut in the game as a tie-in with the upcoming film Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, are among the characters being added to Fortnite in Season 2 Chapter 3. These Marvel heroes and villains, however, might not be the only ones to join Fortnite in the near future.

Eivor coming to Fortnite
Shiina, a regular source of Fortnite rumours and leaks on Twitter, has revealed that Eivor will be one of the next characters to arrive in the battle royale game, according to an unidentified but reportedly reputable leaker. Eivor is a playable character in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the latest instalment in Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed stealth-action franchise.
Eivor isn’t the only Assassin’s Creed figure reported to be making an appearance in the game; according to a recent leak, an outfit modelled on Ezio Auditore, the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed 2 and its successors, would also make an appearance.
The leak didn’t say when Eivor would be released, if players would acquire Assassin’s Creed-themed vehicles or weaponry, or even which version of Eivor’s configurable gender would appear in the game. Shiina’s Tweet only referenced the female form of Eivor, explicitly mentioning the surname Varinsdottir, therefore it’s possible that the male Eivor will be absent.
Regardless, characters from the Assassin’s Creed franchise are a great fit for the “Resistance” theme, with Eivor in particular standing up to gods in the recently released Dawn of Ragnarok downloadable DLC.
Unfortunately, the Eivor rumour was not accompanied by any leaked information regarding when building will return to Fortnite. Building, a gaming concept that has been present since the game’s inception in 2017, was eliminated early this season to allow players to focus on learning new movement mechanics like sprinting and mantling.
Despite the fact that the leak did not mention construction, some speculations suggest that a structure-free optional mode may be permanently included in the game.
