Elden Ring: How to dual wield on PC, PS5, and Xbox?
Dual-wielding can be an effective strategy allowing an aggressive playstyle in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring
Elden Ring, From Software’s latest entry in the Soulsborne series, is filled to the brim with different combinations of gear. Players can mix and match various weapons and spells to decide a build that works best for them.
While there is no “right” build to play Elden Ring, a lot of players like to have the standard shield and sword build. The weapons might change but the base build allows them to switch between defensive and offensive positions during combat. However, some players prefer a more aggressive playstyle, dealing more damage and staying quick on their feet.
Dual-wielding weapons are one of the best features that players can access in Elden Ring. Dual-wielding weapons open up new avenues for players and allow them to explore different play styles. It also comes with the advantage of dealing more damage albeit at the loss of defensive equipment.

Dual-wield weapons are better suited for players that prefer a more aggressive form of playing Elden Ring. Players can easily dual-wield weapons by going to the equipment menu and equipping the same weapon in both hands.
Players on PC can do this by pressing the ‘Esc’ key and navigating to the equipment menu. Meanwhile, players on PlayStation and Xbox can pause the game by pressing the Options and Menu button on their controllers respectively.
Elden Ring allows players to wield any type of weapon in both hands. However, having the same weapons in both hands allows the players to perform special attacks and deal more damage.
How to two-hand weapons in Elden Ring

Two-handing weapons is a strategy that rewards players who like to run head-first into battle. Players who use two-hand weapons usually display a more aggressive playstyle. They rely more on dodging attacks rather than using a shield to defend them. Two-handing a weapon also allows players to deal more damage per hit, at the cost of letting their guard down.
From Software has always had this feature in Souls games. This just adds another level to players customizing their build to a style that suits them the best.
Two-handing weapons is quite easy in Elden Ring. Players on PC just have to press E + Left or Right click, depending on what equipment they want to two-hand. Meanwhile, PS4 players have to press Triangle + L1 or R1 for the left and right hand respectively. Similarly, Xbox players have to press Y + LB or RB for left and right hand respectively.
Using a weapon with two hands allows players to not just cause more damage per hit, it also allows players to unlock new abilities for the weapons. Meanwhile, dual-wielding weapons provides players with the opportunity to cause more DPS and build status effects like Bleed quicker. However, both of these options leave the players’ defenses wide open, leaving them vulnerable to damage.
