Video games have become a part of our daily lives and culture. Moreover, console and PC games have taken over the gaming industry. The popularity of mobile games continues to rise rapidly. Furthermore, many great games have a mobile version, and it seems Eldin Ring Mobile is also being developed.
Over the past few years, there has been a massive increase in AAA titles. This is definitely due to the console being trendy lately. Additionally, games like God of War, Souls games, and similar titles have really become popular.
However, mobile games have also become famous. From sports games to boxing games, a wide variety of genres for mobile games are available now! Moreover, the list keeps on expanding further and further. And now, a mobile game for Elden Ring is also reportedly under development!
Famous Game of the Year souls game, Elden Ring’s Mobile version is currently in development
Elden Ring is the latest addition to the Souls series and is an innovative approach to the gaming community using the existing Soulsborne formula. Moreover, Elden Ring even won the Game of the Year award in 2022. Gamers loved Elden Ring, and the game’s player count is still rising!
Moreover, it seems like Elden Ring is now getting a mobile game, and it’s reportedly already in development! However, it’s not FromSoftware that’s working on this mobile game. Tencent obtained the license rights to the popular open-world Souls game Elden Ring in 2022 and is now working on a mobile game based on it.
Although Tencent intends to make “Elden Ring” a free-to-play game with in-app purchases, much to the popular game “Genshin Impact” created by its Chinese competitor miHoYo, the game was initially intended to be a premium title with a fixed price tag. On the other hand, Tencent’s intended business model conflicts with the “Elden Ring” concept, which emphasizes a one-time purchase followed by a comprehensive experience.
Hence, gamers are really at odds with what Tencent has in mind. FormSoftware or Bandai Namco has yet to give any take on this. However, considering how much FormSoftware regards their games, they are bound to react quite soon!
