Best Elden Ring classes to choose
1) Prisoner
The Prisoner class is one of 2 classes in Elden Ring that are inclined towards Sorcery. Players who choose to play as Prisoner open with high Mind and Dexterity stats.
The Prisoner class also opens with the Magic Glintblade. The Magic Glintblade is a starting sorcery that creates a blade of magic that locks on and follows enemies when used from a short distance. The Magic Glintblade is not the strongest starting sorcery, but charging it up for a few seconds allows it to cause more damage.
The Prisoner class also comes with a Sword. Being equipped with both a sword and sorcery, it allows the player to switch between ranged and melee battles.
2) Confessor
The Confessor class is a class in Elden Ring that is inclined towards Faith and melee-oriented combat. The class has high Strength and Dexterity stats. The high stats allow players to use a wide variety of strong weapons from the start.
The Confessor class also has high Faith and Mind stats. With high Faith and Mind stats, Confessor players can equip and use Incantations with ease.
The Confessor class starts out with Urgent Heal and Assassin’s Approach. Urgent Heal is a rapid healing Incantation that allows players to heal relatively quicker than the Flask of Crimson Tears. However, Urgent Heal can be ineffective to use in combat as it takes some time to cast this Incantation. Meanwhile, Assassin’s Approach allows the player to take less fall damage and makes the player’s movement silent.
3) Astrologer
Astrologer is the second class in Elden Ring that is inclined towards Sorcery. Much like Prisoners, Astrologers start out with high Mind stats. However, Astrologers also have high Intelligence stats with slightly less Dexterity.
Due to these high Intelligence and Mind stats, Astrologers can cast powerful Sorcery spells for multiple targets. This ability to cast strong Sorcery spells from the start makes it a very strong ranged Sorcery class.
Astrologers start with the Glintstone Pebble and Short Sword. The Glintstone Pebble is a relatively powerful spell that is quick to cast and causes favorable damage.
4) Vagabond
Vagabond is a melee-oriented class in Elden Ring. The Vagabond class has some of the highest starting Vigor and Strength stats. The high Vigor starts players off with high HP and the high Strength stat allows them to deal more damage with stronger weapons.
The Vagabond class starts with 2 melee weapons: the Longsword and the Halberd. Both of these weapons are of varying ranges. The Longsword is a strong yet quick weapon that is good for close-quarters combat. Meanwhile, the Halberd is better suited for combat from a few feet away, allowing players to stay out of enemy reach.
However, the lack of ranged options holds Vagabond back as a class, though the high Dexterity stats allow the use of basic bows.
5) Samurai
Samurai is one of the best classes in Elden Ring. The Samurai class has some of the best starting stats. They start with high Dexterity and medium Strength, Endurance, Mind, and Vigor stats.
Due to these relatively higher stats, Samurais can wield a large variety of weapons at the start while also being able to use longbows and fire arrows. This allows players to seamlessly switch between ranged and melee combat.
The Samurai class starts with the Uchigatana, which is one of the strongest starting weapons in the game. Samurais also start with a Red Thord Roundshield, Long Bow, Arrows, and also Fire Arrows. All of this equipment provides the players with a strong foundation to start the game off with.
