Fortnite fans are in for a treat as a young Anakin Skywalker from the Star Wars universe is set to join the game soon. The popular battle royale game already boasts a massive cast of characters from various franchises. These include characters from famous Comic book franchises, DC, and Marvel also different WB characters.

The new Anakin Skywalker skin is a throwback to the times of a young Hayden Christensen. He portrayed Anakin in the prequels trilogy back in the early 2000s. Moreover, fans of the franchise also saw him reprise his role recently in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Alternatively, this may also tease Anakin’s animation avatar from the series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. With the addition of this new skin, players will be able to pit Anakin against Darth Vader in a thrilling battle.

Anakin Skywalker vs Darth Vader in Fortnite?

Last summer, Fortnite introduced the Darth Vader skin to the game, allowing players to step into the shoes of the iconic villain. Now, players can relive the epic battle between the two characters from the Star Wars universe. Fortnite fans seem to be thrilled with the prospect of playing with young Anakin and using the Force. Since Epic Games introduced Creative 3.0 they have so far added characters from Attack on Titan Eren, Levi, and Mikasa. Now Anakin’s inclusion will surely add more vigor when he enters the Fortnite world.

In that film, Obi-Wan Kenobi tells Luke Skywalker about the origin story of Darth Vader. He as we all know, presents Vader as a separate person from Luke Skywalker’s father. However, Episode V – Empire Strikes Back later revealed that Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader are one and the same. Fans also got to see the iconic “Luke, I am your Father” line. However, now Fortnite will provide players a chance to play Vader and Anakin separately.

While details of the event are still under wraps, it is safe to assume that lightsabers will make an appearance in the game. Players can look forward to it as they are currently enjoying the ODM gear that comes with Eren Yeager’s quest. Fans are eagerly awaiting more information on when the Anakin skin will be available for play.

Fortnite has also hinted at an immersive experience, as they retweeted, “Join the experience beginning May 2, 2023.” It remains unclear whether this is the official launch date of the Fortnite x Star Wars event or the updated date for the Fortnite Crew Pack.
