GTA 5 drastically changed the gaming world with its release. The world of open-world was not the same anymore, with GTA 5 bringing in a big change. And with GTA 6 trailer breaking on the internet, the game has gained a lot of traction. GTA 5 was a revolution in the gaming community, and it changed gaming. However, after a year, a particular online rumour has come true. Someone has leaked GTA 5 source code on the internet!

GTA 5 and GTA Online have been active since their first release. The game came out when the craze for the Grand Theft Auto series was at an all-time high. Almost every gamer and non-gamer has at least played one of the Grand Theft Auto series games. Furthermore, it’s been a decade since the release of GTA 5. The community still loves the game; however, not everyone is on the GTA bandwagon.

A while back, a member of the hacking group Lapsus$ hacked Rockstar Games and leaked around 90 clips of GTA 6. Moreover, a UK court sentenced the GTA 6 leaker to life in a hospital prison recently. However, another tragedy has occurred at Rockstar Games with the source code leak for GTA 5 on the internet!

Hacks and leaks are becoming quite common in the video games industry, and at this point, it’s becoming concerning. The studio behind Spider-Man games, Insomniac, was recently hacked, and the hacker even leaked a playable version of their upcoming Wolverine game. Furthermore, this time, another leak has come out of Rockstar Games, and it’s the GTA 5 source code.

Recently, a YouTuber called SKizzle announced that someone had leaked the source code for GTA 5 on the internet. There were floating rumours of the GTA 5 source code leak last year; however, that rumour later proved false. But this time, it’s real, and the source code is out on the internet. The Youtuber further attached picture evidence of parts of the source code, claiming this rumour to be true.

Many things got leaked alongside the source code for GTA 5. This leak has revealed that Rockstar Games is working on its classic “Bully” game franchise and even showed how much progress they have made. Moreover, this leak had the original script of GTA 5 in it and revealed that GTA 6 was codenamed Project Americas. This breach is bad for Rockstar, considering their last breach wasn’t that far back.

Hacking and breaching have become a problem. Moreover, big gaming companies lose loads of money due to any security breach they suffer. Insomniac suffered damages in millions, and Rockstar is on the same path. This leak could even lead to a potential delay in the release of GTA 6, and if that happens, playing GTA 6 can be a long-time dream.
