Call of Duty mid-season updates are always wild. The amount of new content introduced during a mid-season update sometimes tops seasonal updates. The scope is massive for the player base, with new maps, bundles, and crossovers coming to the game. Furthermore, recently, the season 4 trailer for Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2.0 hinted at a crossover with the popular TV series, The Boys. And well, the Call of Duty: The Boys crossover is here, with operator bundles and Supe’s powers.

Due to their collaborations with well-known TV shows and films, Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 have gained enormous popularity. The game has collaborated with several prominent television programs recently, including The Mandalorian, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and others. Moreover, the new crossover with the popular Amazon Prime series, The Boys, has made its way into the game. However, this time, it’s not just cosmetics but special in-game activities that have left the player base with conflicting opinions.

The recent crossover of Call of Duty x The Boys has brought some amazing content into the game. This includes three new operator bundles for Starlight, Homelander, and Black Noir. Although that’s not all, as this new update included Supes Powers from The Boys series. However, this collab with Activision is being greatly criticized by the player base.

The new midseason update for Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2.0 has brought a lot of new stuff to the game. From a new 6v6 map to a Portable Redeploy Drone and even new operator bundles. The most famous amongst this update is the Call of Duty x The Boys collab, which has brought Superhero operator skins to the game. However, another new thing this update includes is Supes Power, called Temp V. This new in-game item gives players superpowers to hunt down opponents.

This new update isn’t like previous conventional updates, which usually brought new weapons or maps to the game. The new in-game item, Temp V, gives players 4 different perks that are similar to The Boys Supe’s powers. For example, players can use the Lazer eyes attack of Homelander, and honestly, it’s a mean piece of work.

Similarly, players can use the Supes power of other heroes too, and it is very devastating. However, this has brought with it a lot of criticism from the community.

There are a lot of concerns in the community over hackers’ misuse of this feature. Moreover, players are conflicted about whether this update is good for the realism and ‘military’ elements of the Call of Duty game series. Despite all the negative comments, some players are loving this update too. We’ll know the direct repercussions of this feature shortly, as many players experience this mode. Until then, it’s a bunch of varied reactions from the player base.
