EA Sports dishes out FIFA 22 Bans for exploiting the FUT Rivals Unlimited Rewards bug

EA has many big gaming names under its banner and FIFA is one of their biggest properties. Recently EA Sports has dished out severe punishments to the players who were exploiting the system in the FUT Rivals mode to get Unlimited rewards and has led to many FIFA 22 Bans.

The FUT Rivals game mode is a very popular one and recently some bugs were being reported from it. The FIFA 22 Division Rivals reward section, which started on 10th February 2022, had reported some unlimited reward bugs across the community. Players could open their rewards through the FUT Web App and refresh the page to claim them again and again. This led to many players exploiting the system to get free rewards.

But there is bad news for the players who did so, as EA Sports has decided to take some severe steps against such accounts.

This issue of the Unlimited Rewards in the FUT Division Rivals was promptly investigated by the developers, only after a few hours of the release.

The issue was quickly fixed by the developers on 11th February 2022, however many players had already exploited the system by then. Many players from the community voiced their disdain about the unfair advantage that the exploiters got from the bug. The bug let them get an unlimited amount f player promo packs for a while, which was quite unfair for others.

Keeping in mind the fairness of the game, EA Sports has decided to punish the offenders for exploiting this bug. On 12th February 2022, EA took to their official social media pages to confirm the punishments coming to the players who obtain the player packs through unfair means.

The following steps will be taken by EA Sports:

  • Players who have consistently violated the bug will be getting a 7 Day ban from FIFA 22 online.
  • Players who used it to trade will be handed permanent FUT 22 Transfer Market Bans.

The accounts that have severely violated the rules have already been identified and the punishment will be dealt out soon.
