FIFA 22: How to Complete the New Marquee Matchups SBC? (26th August)

A New Marquee Matchups SBC have been unveiled by EA in FIFA 22. Players of the game have an opportunity to to grab a hold of many player packs via completion of the Marquee Matchups Squad Building Challenge (SBC)! This type of SBC is not the same as the special player items. There are more dimensions to it which will be explained later on in this article.

FIFA 23 is nearing its release date, with just a little more than a month’s wait for its release date. To help tide over players of FIFA 22 to FIFA 23, EA has launched the Pre-Season promo in FUT 22. There are several special offers than can be earned through the completion of various SBCs and objectives, which are transferable to the new game. How to Complete the New Marquee Matchups SBC in FIFA 22?

Marquee Matchups challenges refer to weekly challenges in FIFA 22 that are based on important football games occurring in real-time. Upcoming important games of the week the same week as the Marquee Matchups in FIFA 22 that take place, are selected by EA. Following this SBCs are created, rewarding players who complete the SBCs with tradeable FIFA Ultimate Team packs. A prime example of such an SBC is the Showdown SBCs this week, which were based on Juventus’ (Piemonte Calcio in FIFA) and AS Roma’s fixture, from which Paul Pogba and Georginio Wijnaldum were given special cards.

Each squad in Marquee Matchups have a different set of criteria that need to be met. It varies from match to match. Besides the minimum team rating and chemistry, the other requirements vary, for example, requirements such as players from a specific league or club will differ. The rewards are different as well.

To complete the Marquee Matchups SBCs, this week’s requirements are as follows:

You will have to submit 4 squads.

1. Austin FC vs. Los Angeles FC

• Minimum of a 75-rated squad with 70 chemistry
• Minimum of 4 clubs
• 3 players from the same leagues
• 1 player from Major League Soccer (MLS).

Reward: 1 x Premium electrum players pack

2. Piemonte Calcio (Juventus) vs. Roma FC

• Minimum of a 79-rated squad with 80
• Minimum of two rare cards
• 4 players from the same league, 5 different clubs
• 1 player from both Piemonte Calcio and Roma.

Reward: 1 x Prime electrum players pack

3. Bayern München vs. Borussia M’gladbach

• Maximum of 3 players from the same league
• Minimum of 2 rare cards
• 2 players from Bundesliga
• 1 player from both Bayern Munich and Borussia M’gladbach.

Reward: 1 x Rare mixed players pack

4. Stade de Reims vs. Olympique Lyonnais

• Minimum of a 77-rated squad with 75 chemistry
• Minimum of 1 rare card
• 5 players from the same nation
• 1 player from both Stade de Reims and Olympique Lyonnais.

Reward: 1 x Jumbo premium gold pack
