The POTM or Player of The Month is a special monthly repeating SBC that rewards the best performing player from the previous month in a certain league. These player items, naturally, have boosted stats than their counterparts and can be obtained through SBCs.

Here is how to obtain the latest David de Gea FIFA 22 Player of The Month player item.
