A new and improved partnership between EA Sports and MLS has been announced ahead of the FIFA 23 release. The licensing agreement between the 2 organizations has been extended by EA and is not just for FIFA 23, but beyond it as well. With the many licensing agreements that EA is bringing with it for FIFA 23, the extended, new and improved partnership between these 2 organizations is a part of this chain.
FIFA 23 is releasing on 30 September, and it’s getting plenty of hype as usual. The release of the game this time is right before the FIFA World Cup, unlike previous editions. To add on to the World Cup hype, EA has decided to induct some special World Cup-related additions to the new game in the form of special Hero items. Improved Partnership Between EA Sports and MLS Ahead of FIFA 23
Since MLS was also in FIFA 22, this isn’t exactly a NEW addition to FIFA 23. However there are several additions in favour of the MLS as part of the new and improved partnership between EA Sports and MLS, which would take the stage of the MLS to a whole new level. With the quality in the MLS along with the recognition it’s getting at the moment, this partnership and the benefits associated with the MLS seem about right.

EA Sports and MLS announced that they would be extending their long-standing partnership before the launch of FIFA 23. Besides improving the quality of MLS content in FIFA 23, the multi-year agreement will continue beyond this year’s edition as well! As reliable FIFA News leaker DonkTrading puts it, the addition and improvement of EA Sports’ licenses is highly beneficial for football fans, saying, “Full licensing for all leagues is a W & is the clear path here.”
“We’re always looking to create deeper connections with partners who innovate in service of the next generation of football fan” said David Jackson, EA Sports FIFA’s VP of Brand. “This important partnership leverages the bold moves being made by MLS during a period of immense growth for the league, while supporting EA Sports’ mission to better serve football fans in ever more authentic and immersive ways.”
With players such as Lorenzo Insigne, Federico Bernardeschi, and most recently former Barcelona player Riqui Puig joining the league, the MLS is certainly on the rise up, with a promising future on the horizon. With the MLS continuing to attract talents from all around the world, especially Europe, users of FIFA 23 can expect to get their hands on authentic versions of these players in-game.
