With the release of FIFA 23 scheduled for September 30, there is plenty of excitement among the players of the game. Fans are waiting to get started with the new game, which consists of several new features and additions never seen or done before by EA. The Pre-Season promo in FIFA 22 is out as well as EA aims to wrap up the FUT 22 season and shift the players to FIFA 23 using the Pre-Season promo as the event contains various rewards which can be transferred from FUT 22 to FUT 23.

Compared to FIFA 22, FIFA 23 has some new attributes which are applicable in all game modes including Career Mode and FIFA Ultimate Team. Attributes in FIFA are generally used for defining a player’s overall quality, with several attributes combining to form an overall rating and quality of the player. How does the Attribute System Work in FIFA 23?

When you look at a player’s bio, attributes are the respective individual abilities that have a rating out of 100 next to the bio. Attributes provide details regarding every aspect of a player’s ability and give more of in-depth knowledge as compared to the overall rating of the player. These attributes help in a more efficient team selection process.

There are 34 player attributes in FIFA 23. In FUT, each player has 6 attributes that indicate their skill level which are shown on their player cards. These attributes on the player cards include Pace, Dribbling, Shooting, Defending, Passing and Physicality. These attributes are classified in the following ways:

Control of the ball

  • DRI (Dribbling) includes ball control, agility and balance.
  • DEF (Defence) includes tackling and marking.
  • PHY (Physical) includes strength and stamina.

Move up the pitch

  • PAC (Pace) includes the speed and the acceleration of the player.
  • PAS (Passing) includes ability to successfully pass the ball with vision.

Score

  • SHO (Shooting) determines finishing skill and shot power of the player.
