FIFA 23: Is William Saliba a New Team of the Week 1 Contender?

FIFA 23 is almost here, and fans are so excited that the game cannot get here soon enough. The new game is scheduled to be released on September 30, and 3 days earlier on September 27 for those players of the game who have early access to FIFA 23 through purchase of the Ultimate Edition.

EA Sports have unveiled the ratings for FIFA 23. Initially, the top 23 highest-rated players in the game were revealed, and they have now been followed by the gradual release of all the other players in the game. William Saliba to be a Strong Contender Contender in TOTW 1 for FIFA 23

Team of the Week in the game refers to a team formed by EA which consists of players across various league who perform very well in the respective week the Team of the Week is formed for. This implies that the players who make the TOTW are In-Form, and they receive special cards which are boosted in stats as compared to their base-card stats.

The first Team of the Week for FIFA 23 is set to be revealed on September 21. This means that this weekend’s fixtures will be taken into consideration by EA Sports regarding the formation of the first TOTW for the new game. This gives players of the game something to look forward to, and can watch this weekend’s fixtures with extra excitement.

William Saliba stands to be a strong contender to earn his way into the first Team of the Week for the new game following his impressive display against Brentford earlier today. He could join another contender, Heung-Min Son, in a potential Team of the Week slot. Saliba scored a goal and maintained a clean sheet against Brentford earlier today, rounding off an impressive performance which resulted in his team’s victory.

Saliba currently has a rating of 80 overall, which is a +5 boost from last year’s FIFA 22 rating of 75 OVR. The France and Arsenal Center Back has improved considerably under Mikel Arteta and has established his name as a starter in Arsenal’s starting 11. Saliba is a player to keep an eye out on as he could be subject to various upgrades in FIFA 23.
