Only PlayStation and Xbox users will supposedly be affective by the price hike of the game.
The price of the FIFA 23 Standard Edition on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series S/X will be hiked from ₹4,499 to ₹4,799. Likewise, the same version which contains Ultimate Team, Career Mode, and so much more could cost ₹4,299 instead of ₹3,999 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. That is a 300 Rupee hike in both the cases. With EA Sports supposedly becoming EA Sports FC from next year, FIFA 23 could mark the final game in the franchise which has lasted for decades. Women’s leagues have made a debut in the game for the first time as well, and has never before made an appearance in FIFA until now. There are several new features in the game apart from a restructured Ultimate Team mode, such as the upgraded HyperMotion2 technology and much more.
Meanwhile, these hikes in prices could have an effect in relation to the demand in the Indian market for FIFA 23. If the prices of the game actually do rise, potential buyers could back out and wait for the prices to drop until they purchase the game. However, it could go the other way as well. If EA Sports has authorized these hikes, then they must be confident of the demand in the Indian market for their product. There could be a high demand for the new game, with the possibly of physical copies getting sold out pretty quick.
