The first Icon Player Pick SBC has been released in FIFA 23, much to the delight of FUT enthusiasts everywhere. Gamers are getting access to a wide range of content in Ultimate Team, including unique cards, objectives, and SBCs, thanks to the Showdown Series promo, which is currently in full swing.

The Mid versions of two Icons are available for selection in the most recent Squad Building Challenge. Since the beginning of Ultimate Team, icons have been a trademark. These renowned athletes have left their stamp on the game, and FIFA 23’s virtual field properly captures their skills.

Every Icon has three separate versions in FUT: Basic, Mid, and Prime, except campaign Icon variants like TOTY Icons and World Cup Icons. The most recent Player Pick SBC gives players the option of two Icon cards’ Mid editions. This is what distinguishes it as the first Icon Player Pick SBC outside of Swaps rewards in FIFA 23.

Given the current pricing of high-rated fodder cards on FIFA 23’s FUT transfer market, the overall projected cost of this SBC is roughly 320,000 FUT coins. Although the advantages provided by the SBC are quite alluring, they also have a high cost. The priciest and most powerful items available in this Player Pick challenge are as follows:

A recent release of the 89+ World Cup or Prime Icon Upgrade SBC by EA Sports may have confused players as to which of the two Icon challenges offered delivers superior rewards. Both are pricey; this one costs about 500,000 coins, while the inclusion of the Mid Icon Player Pick costs about 320,000 coins.

While the 89+ Icon Upgrade one delivers improved versions of the available Icons, the Player Pick SBC is more enticing because you can select between two cards and is also more affordable. Icons are still incredibly powerful in-game even if they are second to FUT Heroes in terms of squad-building viability in FIFA 23’s new chemistry system.
