FIFA 23 has recently added a Showdown SBC match-up for Portugal and Uruguay. FIFA released the Gimenez and Carvalho Showdown SBCs and the challenge will be live till 28th November 2022.

Both Jose Maria Gimenez and William Carvalho will be facing each other in the FIFA World Cup 2022 group stage match. One of the two cards will get additional upgrades based on the world cup match result. If players want both cards then they will have to complete both the SBCs.

The official stats for William Carvalho are pretty good as Carvalho has obtained an important boost to his base card stats: +41 Pace, +8 Shooting, +5 Passing, +7 Dribbling, +7 Defending, and +5 Physical. Here are the official stats of the card before the IRL match:

  • Pace -76
  • Shooting -73
  • Dribbling -80
  • Passing -82
  • Defending -82
  • Physicality -89

The stats are already above average and William is one good defender. The players who want to get the William Carvalho card will need to complete the respective Squad Building Challenge SBC.

To get the card players will have to complete the SBC and here are the requirements for the Squad:

  • Starting players – 11
  • Portugal players – Min. 1
  • Team Overall Rating – Min. 84

The estimated cost for this squad is 45,000 coins and one possible solution for this SBC can be:

The player from the winning team will receive a +2 OVR boost. The trade for this card is worth it and if Carvalho receives a +2 then he will be one good CDM card. Players are claiming that Carvalho is a better trade than Gimenez.

There are no chemistry requirements for this SBC which makes this challenge easier than before. This SBC is a limited-time challenge and will end on 28 November 2022 after the real match ends the winning team’s player will get the additional boost.
