Epic Games has announced the exciting details for Fortnite FNCS 2023, which promises to be a tournament unlike any other. Matches will occur throughout the year, across different Seasons in Chapter 4, with certain “Majors” being easier than others due to the prevalent loot pool. Each Major will have three different stages, including a Weekly Competition, a Surge Week, and the Grand Finals.

FNCS 2023: Dates and Format

FNCS Major 1: February 2 – March 5: The first phase of the tournament will begin on February 2 and will last for four weeks. During this time, players will compete in the Weekly Competition, Surge Week, and Grand Finals, all of which will be included in the dates provided. The top 40 duos with the highest cumulative points on the Series Leaderboard over the course of the four weeks will advance to the next round.

FNCS Major 2: April 13 – May 14: The second phase of the tournament will begin on April 13 and will last for six weeks. During this time, players will compete in the Weekly Competition, Surge Week, and Grand Finals, all of which will be included in the dates provided. The top 40 duos with the highest cumulative points on the Series Leaderboard over the course of the six weeks will advance to the next round.

FNCS Major 3: July 20 – August 20: The third phase of the tournament will begin on July 20 and will last for four weeks. During this time, players will compete in the Weekly Competition, Surge Week, and Grand Finals, all of which will be included in the dates provided. The top 40 duos with the highest cumulative points on the Series Leaderboard over the course of the four weeks will advance to the next round.

FNCS Last Chance Major: August 24 – 27: The fourth phase of the tournament will be the “Last Chance Major” which will take place from August 24 to 27. This phase will give professional players who did not qualify during the previous stages a chance to make it to the Global Championship.

Epic Games has announced that the prize-pool for Fortnite FNCS 2023 will be a staggering $10,000,000. This is a significant increase from previous years and is sure to attract top players from around the world. The prize money will be distributed across the different stages of the tournament, with each Major stage (1,2, and 3) having a shared prize-pool of $2,000,000, and the Global Championship consisting of the lion’s share of $4,000,000.
