Fortnite has been working towards the goal of no building

It all began with a swim. When Fortnite’s second chapter began with the dramatic implosion of the game’s original island, it also included a seemingly minor addition: the ability to swim. However, the shooter has evolved through time as developers have worked to make the game faster and more mobile.
It may have come as a surprise to some when constructing, which has been one of Fortnite’s distinguishing features since its start, was eliminated as part of the current season (though this is most likely a temporary change). However, it’s been a long time coming.
Epic has continued to introduce additional ways for players to travel around in the game after they first learned to swim. Vehicles such as planes and autos, zip lines and launch pads that sped you around the area, and even enormous creatures that threw you into the air have all been used.
Last season, two new features were introduced: one allowed you to slide down slopes at astonishing speeds, while the other allowed you to swing across trees and buildings like Spider-Man. Not all of these items are permanent — the funny Klombo monsters are one of my favourites — but those that are have had a significant impact on how you can explore universe.

Fortnite aim of “No Building”
Meanwhile, the current season is significant for a few things. To begin with, it includes sprinting and climbing, which when combined allow you to parkour across areas of the Fortnite island. There are also vertical ziplines that allow you to quickly reach high-altitude regions. When you combine this with all of the other modifications over the years, you have a game that moves at a breakneck pace, especially when compared to early days.

Which leads us to the topic of construction — or the lack thereof. The game’s trademark feature has been deleted, though most gamers believe it is only a temporary modification. For the uninitiated, constructing has long been one of Fortnite’s most distinguishing features. Players can acquire resources and then construct structures to achieve higher ground or defend themselves.
It’s astonishing to watch the greatest players in the world construct complex structures in seconds; tunnelling is a skill in which players build a tunnel around themselves so quickly that they can run through it while safe from incoming fire.

What will be more intriguing, however, is what occurs when building returns to the game. According to rumours, it will only be absent for the first nine days of the season in Fortnite, which began on Sunday.
