How to complete zombie chicken quest in Fortnite

If flying on chicken backs has been on your to-do list in Fortnite, then for Fortnitemares 2022, you can do that and complete your quest, earning XP as well. Unlike the normal chicken usually found roaming in the game, these zombie chickens are a special breed and are more aggressive by nature, so be careful if you intend to ride them.

The developers have decided to have some fun with the questors and task them with flying on a chicken. And just as an added incentive they have looped in a significant 15000 XP in-game to push these questors to complete their missions. However, getting hold of these chickens is quite difficult, especially if they are overly aggressive. Here is a step-by-step guide to flying these zombie chickens and having some fun.

Firstly, land on the eastern end of the greasy Grove near Reality Roots or close to the Overtaken Outpost. One benefit of this quest is that there is no shortage of those zombie chickens. So you can easily roam about until you come across a zombie chicken. Since these areas do not offer any strategic value, seldom players land here, making it one of the safest areas to complete this challenge.

Once you find the chicken, go ahead and grab it before it attacks you. Alternatively, though, you can dodge the attack and then make a grab, but this has a greater risk since these chickens move in groups. However, make sure to leave the area immediately after grabbing a chicken to prevent the group from following you.

To fly, you can simply jump off a cliff with a chicken in hand. This will allow you to fly for about 75 meters, completing your challenge and granting you your required XP within the game.

Fortnite‘s Fortnitemares Pickaxe is one of the final rewards that a player can get after completing all the quests. This is a beautiful cosmetic melee skin that can be applied over your melee weapon to make it more attractive. Claiming this axe is not at all easy, since all 25 of the quests will have to be completed in order to unlock this item.

As a way of mass appeasement to the community, however, Fortnite has decided to grant the pickaxe to specific players who missed out on the other quests due to several server issues as well as the removal of Wolfcent and Claws. Fortnite has since added Wolfscent and Claws back, so only those who were deprived within the initial stages are set to receive this cosmetic for free.
