Lady Gaga X Fortnite collaboration confirmed for Fortnite Festival Season 2

There have long been rumours about who Epic Games will choose to be the featured artist when the Fortnite Festival launches its sophomore season. Finally, the long-awaited and heavily rumoured Fortnite Lady Gaga collaboration was confirmed for Fortnite Festival Season 2 by the pop artist herself via a post on social media.

Fortnite Festival, added in the new Fortnite chapter, departs from the classic Fortnite mode by allowing players to participate in Guitar Hero-styled jam sessions. The mode can be played solo or alongside other friends. It supports up to four players and allows players to choose from their favourite blockbuster tracks.

The Fortnite Lady Gaga collaboration will be added to the game in the final update for Chapter 5, Season 1. Similar to the partnership with The Weeknd in Fortnite Festival Season 1, the update will accompany a mini-event to celebrate the occasion. Fans can watch Mother Monster perform a few of her songs on the Main stage at Fortnite Festival.

Lady Gaga is coming to Fortnite for a performance on Feb 22

The pop artist confirmed the Fortnite Lady Gaga collaboration on Twitter. Amidst the game’s heyday five years ago, Lady Gaga made a tweet on October 15, 2019, that read, “What’s a fortnight?”. She replied to her original tweet, correcting herself by writing “*Fortnite”. She also attached a picture of a Fortnite Lady Gaga character in a pink outfit.

Lady Gaga will perform in Fortnite on February 22nd. An icon series skin will also accompany the collaboration. Fans can purchase a Fortnite Lady Gaga skin, as they have been able to for previous musical artists like Eminem. They can also use this skin in the regular battle royale mode. There are likely to be other accompanying cosmetics as well.

There will also be numerous Jam Tracks accompanying the Fortnite Lady Gaga collaboration that you can purchase from the shop and use in Fortnite Festival mode.

As with the Fortnite x The Weeknd collaboration, fans can expect roughly half a dozen new tracks. More information about the event is unknown at the event. However, fans can expect to learn more as the performance date approaches.
