New Skin Bundles in Fortnite quests are nothing new and with the previous Rest in peace bundle set to expire, Fortnite is set to launch its newest skin line, naming it the Eye of the Brainstorm. It is surprising how drastically different these two skin lines are. On one hand, the Rest is Peace bundle is a symbol of cultural integrity, taking inspiration from the Day of the Dead Festival in Mexico, while the Eye of the Brainstorm appears to target all those gamers that have an edge toward the comic gimmicky sci-fi villains.

Self-explanatory as the name, the new skin bundle features a player’s skin that is a brain in some sort of suspended fluid, in a mechanical body wearing a suit. This skin appears to be directly taking inspiration from the kids’ si-fi movie villains, or the end product of some crazy science experiment. Even the weapon skins that accompany the primary pack comes off as quite gimmicky, something that the community will either love or hate.

Featuring some sort of a blaster or a vapouriser-type skin, this takes away some sort of seriousness from the game, allowing players to let go and have fun within the game. However, Fortnite has to be careful about communicating the contents of the pack, since last time in the Stains Academy Quest Pack, a miscommunication led to the developers having to go away 500 V-bucks for free.

Fortnite launches new player skin Bundle titled Rest in Peace

As has become customary for the game, the developers release new skin bundles for players based on different themes to keep the game more engaging. However, with the glitch from the previous Saint Academy Quest pack, which shut down the servers for quite some time, as well as compelled the developers to give out 1000 V-bucks extra due to miscommunication, Fortnite is once again trying to restore normalcy by bringing out its new player skin collection titled Rest in Peace.

This skin pack is themed around the Day of the Dead celebration in Mexico, where the relatives of the deceased believe that on that particular day, the deceased cross over and enjoy time with the living. This huge Mexican festival served as the inspiration for the player skins where young children dress up with skeletal face paint, a counterpart to Halloween celebrations.

It will be interesting to find out how the community responds to the Eye of the Brainstorm skin line once it drops. Overall, this appears to be a pretty solid pick for those deep into comic and sci-fi villains and want to emulate them in-game.
