“Best Archon Quest ever”: Fans react as Genshin Impact 2.7 quest reveals the backstory of Yakshas

A new Interlude Archon Quest released in the Genshin Impact 2.7 update has left fans in all praise for the developers. While some expressed their emotional connection with the game, others didn’t miss their chance to know the backstory of the Yakshas, the guardians to Teyvat.

There was always a curiosity among fans to know about the past of Yakshas, legendary beasts who apparently went missing after the Archon War while only the Anemo Yaksha remained on land. Here is everything fans need to know about the 5 Yakshas.

Genshin Impact 2.7 Archon Quest ‘Perilous Trail’ reveals the story of Yakshas

Even though the Genshin Impact 2.7 update was delayed, HoYoverse made it sure that their Travelers are not devoid of the fun they receive from the game. Much to the surprise of the players, the patch which was earlier considered to be a filler one, is making headlines in the community due to the Archon Quest- Perilous Trail.

The Interlude Archon Quest which requires players to reach Adventure Rank 28 and complete some other quests before unlocking, takes place in The Chasm where the Traveler partners up with Yelan, Yanfei, Itto and Kuki Shinobu to uncover the secrets of the Electro Yaksha which slept in the darkness of Chasm, Xiao also appears behind the scenes.

The cutscene of this quest has excited every player taking them back to the excitement felt at the initial days of the role playing game. Here is what information we got regarding the 5 Yakshas.

Alatus (Anemo)

Xiao is the only remaining Yaksha alive in mortal state that is currently playable in the game. He was formerly known as Alatus as has previously been revealed in the game’s story quests. Xiao avoids the company of other humans most of the time and comes out rarely.

Bosacius (Electro)

The Yaksha that went missing in The Chasm was revealed to die in that location. During the cutscene of the Perilous Trail quest, Electro Yaksha’s name was revealed to be Bosacius. He was the leader of all the five Yakhas and was apparently, also the strongest one.

Bonanus (Hydro) and Menogias (Geo)

Like the other Yakshas except Xiao, Bonanus became a victim of karmic debt and was revealed to have the Hydro element. In the cutscene, it is displayed that Bonanus and Menogias (Geo) killed each other after the Archon War when they were called by the Geo Archon, Morax.

Indarias (Pyro)

The Pyro Yaksha is revealed to be Indarias, also known as the General Musatas. During the cutscene of Genshin Impact 2.7 Archon Quest, Bosacius’ memories display that Indarias and Bonanus were quite close to each other but later the Pyro yaksha died due to karmic debt.

The entire Genshin Impact 2.7 Archon Quest is being praised by the fans as the story of Yakshas has always been a curious thing to know in the game.
