With the maintenance schedule being almost complete, players can finally download the most anticipated Genshin Impact 2.5 update where Yae Miko becomes a playable character and her signature weapon also gets released in the weapon banner.
The developers of the most popular role playing game right now, have also released the patch notes for the new update to give the Travelers a brief idea about what new aspects awaits for them. Although most of the information was revealed through leaks or special program, the patch notes provide a more vivid detail on to the anticipated character banners, new enemies and more. Genshin Impact 2.5 update
The maintenance schedule of new updates usually last for 5 hours. As the maintenance began on 2022/02/16 06:00 (UTC+8), it is expected to be completed within a next few hours. As a compensation for taking the servers down, the developers will issue 600 primogems to the players which need to be claimed within 30 days.
Patch notes
New character
Yae Miko will release in the Event Wish banner called “Everbloom Violet” where she will receive a huge drop rate boost. The Electro Catalyst user is the Guuji of Grand Narukami Shrine and also the chief publisher of the Yae Publishing House. Her abilities have been listed below:
Elemental Skill (Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura)- This skill allows her to move swiftly and plant 3 Sesshou Sakuras (Electro Turrets) that give constant Electro DMG to the enemies.
Elemental Burst (Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin)- Summons a lightning strike that covers a huge AoE DMG, this will turn the nearby Sakuras into Tenko Thunderbolts that descend from the skies.
New Equipment
Kagura’s Verity
The signature weapon of Yae Miko in Genshin Impact 2.5 update, this 5-star Catalyt weapon will be available in the Epitome Invocation banner in Genshin Impact 2.5 update. While using the Elemental skill, this weapon will gain the Kagura’s Dance effect, which will increase the Elemental Skill DMG of the character for 16s. The character will gain All Elemental DMG Bonus when they possess 3 stacks.
Oathsworn Eye
Oathsworn Eye is a 4-star catalyst weapon that can be obtained for free in the “Three Realms Gateway Offering” which goes live on 17th February. Players will be able to claim this weapon that gives an energy recharge of 10 seconds while using the Elemental skill.
New Events
The new event, “Three Realms of Gateway Offering” will start from 17th February and run till the end of the Genshin Impact 2.5 update. Players need to hold an Adventure Rank of 30 or above and should have completed the “Chapter II: Act II – Stillness, the Sublimation of Shadow” and the World Quest “Erebos’ Secret”.
Upgrade your Bokuso Box by Light Sigils in order to claim the 4-star weapon mentioned above for free. This weapon might work effectively with Kokomi.
New main story
Raiden Shougun’s Story Quest
The story quest for Raiden, “Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter: Act II – Transient Dreams” can only be accessed by AR 40 holders. They need to complete the Archon Quest, “Chapter II: Act III – Omnipresence Over Mortals” and Raiden Shogun’s Story Quest “Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter: Act I – Reflections of Mortality”.
Yae Miko’s Story Quest
Complete Raiden Shogun’s Story Quest “Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter: Act II – Transient Dreams” in order to have access to the Story quest of Yae Miko, “Divina Vulpes Chapter: Act I – The Great Narukami Offering”. Both of the story quests are available permanently from the beginning of the 2.5 update.
New enemies
Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto” (Raiden Shougun’s Boss)
When the weekly boss form of Raiden Shougun gains the Baleful Shadowlord form, she will gain great DMG RES and deal more fatal attacks. In addition to that, active characters will lose their Elemental Energy on periodic intervals. She can be found near the Narukami Island in Genshin Impact 2.5 update.
Shadowy Husk
There will be a total of 3 Shadowy Husks in the Genshin Impact 2.5 update which are namely, Standard Bearer, Line Breaker, and Defender. Upon hitting a character that uses shields, the enemies will gain buffs at the cost of its HP.

Celebration: Binge Vessel: Obtained from the “Of Drink A-Dreaming” event
“Yae Miko: Kitsune Dreaming”: Reward for reaching Friendship Lv. 10 with Yae Miko
“Travel Notes: Awakening”: Reward obtained via the BP system
Spiral Abyss
- Floor 11 Ley Line Disorder- All characters in the party gain a 60% Electro DMG Bonus and 30% Healing bonus.
- Floor 12 Ley Line Disorder- The monster lineup on Floors 11 – 12 of the Spiral Abyss has been update.
- Phase 1 (Lightning Moon)- When opponents take Electro-Charged DMG, their Electro RES decreases by 10% for 10s. Each 4 stack’s duration is independent. Each enemy can receive this effect once every 1.2s.
- Phase 2 (Godcall Moon)- When the active character’s Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts hit an opponent affected by Electro, a shockwave is created at that opponent’s position, dealing True DMG.These waves might be produced in this manner every 2s.
