Genshin Impact 2.6 update is one of the most awaited update for Travelers who have been waiting to get their hands on the powers of Kamisato Ayato. With the conclusion of beta test recruitment, the new update’s beta release date has been leaked by some reliable sources. As of now, only two aspects of the new update have been confirmed by the developers i.e. Kamisato Ayato becoming a playable character who uses the Hydro Sword combo and the release of Chasm, a unexplored region that is situtaed near the western front of Liyue.

Genshin Impact 2.6 beta release date

The beta test recruitment for the 2.6 update began in late January and prominent leakers have managed to extract some of the data files to tease the fans with the upcoming 5-star character, Kamisato Ayato who is the older brother of Kamisato Ayaka, a playable Cryo character in the game.

It has now been revealed that the beta release of Genshin Impact 2.6 update is scheduled on February 18,2022. The beta release date comes two days after 2.5 update is rolled out. The core attraction of the 2.5 update is the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine, Yae Miko. If the 42 day update cycle is followed, the 2.6 update could be released around late March.

Expected features

Encapsulating all of the 2.6 leaks provided by the data miners as of now, fans can look forward to the arrival of new characters, rerun banners and unlocking of a new region.

Kamisato Ayato & Shikanoin Heizou

Kamisato Ayato, the head of Kamisato Clan has already been confirmed as the Hydro 5-star character releasing in the first banner of the new update. Some leaks revealed him to be a DPS character, but it can only be confirmed once fans are able to see his gameplay. Heizou’s release remains questionable as of now, who had been upgraded to a 5-star characters.

The Chasm

Only a small fragment of the Chasm region is accessible to the players who have visited Liyue. Chasm has been confirmed for the 2.6 update and players can expect to see the new monsters of the region, their damage potential and the artifacts that can be found in the rich mining region.

Rerun banners

The rerun banners of Genshin Impact 2.6 update have not been confirmed by the data miners as there are many characters that have a potential rerun in the 2.6 update. Some leaks suggested the rerun of Kazuha and Venti whereas others hinted at Ayaka and Yoimiya.
