Ever since MiHoYo confirmed Kamisato Ayato to become playable in the game soon, some new Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks have been uncovered by data miners which tend to reveal the character’s potential combat role.

Genshin Impact players are always curious regarding new information regarding upcoming characters, regions as well as events. The credit goes to the data miners as they continue to reveal the gameplay, combat role and other crucial information regarding the characters that are yet to be released in the game. One such character is Ayato, whose release is anticipated since a long time.

Before the release of the 2.5 livestream, MiHoYo had revealed the face of Kamisato Ayato, which earlier remained hidden in the game files. Even though, players got a glimpse of Ayato’s official outfit in a leaked promotional video where the character could be seen talking with his young sister, Kamisato Ayaka.

Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks also pointed out that the banners in the Kamisato residence depicted the two elements used by the Kamisato siblings. As Ayaka uses the Cryo element, it was evident that Ayato was bound to be a Hydro character. This was confirmed by the developers who revealed Ayato’s rarity to be 5-star.

As revealed in the picture released by the developers, Ayato is a sword-weilder whose weapon is infused with Hydro, this proves that Ayato is going to be a DPS character, contradicting previous leaks that suggested his support combat role. Another Reddit post stated, Ayato is going to be the main DPS character instead of being a C0 DPS who later scales to a support role.

Previous Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks revealed Ayato’s elemental skill which is named Shuumatsu Art: Cicada Shell, where the character could be seen dashing forward leaving behind shells for crowd control. Some vague drawings are given by a leaker that had previously given details on Yae Miko’s gameplay also gave a rough idea about Ayato’s combat animation.

These Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks remain questionable as the beta gameplay of the characters is yet to be unveiled. Moreover, the developers might make some changes to the DMG capacity of the characters, as previously done with Yae Miko. Though, players can be sure that Ayato is a DPS character as of now.

Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks also revealed that Shikanoin Heizou might be released along with Ayato who is also going to be a 5-star character. If MiHoYo follows the 42-day update cycle then Kamisato Ayato could be seen in-game on March 2022.
