Now, another change has come forward through Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks which has revealed that Ayato’s Elemental Skill will no longer use the taunt mechanic which used to tease the enemies and keep them engaged while Ayato could give his Hydro DMG. As per the new change, the Hydro clone created will no longer taunt the enemies.

"Kamisato Ayato shifts positions, leaving a water illusion at his original location and entering the Tamimeguri Kanka state. After this shift, he will leave a water illusion at his original location. After it is formed, the watery illusion will explode if opponents are nearby or after its duration ends, dealing AoE Hydro DMG."

As players can notice, the Soukai Kanka state in Kamisato Ayato’s elemental skill has been changed to Tamimeguri Kanka State. Since the beta test is almost concluded, these Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks appear to be accurate. Therefore, players planning to pull for the Hydro character can rely on this information.

Players can also look at the embedded video which displays how the Hydro clone is ignored by the enemy as it directly attacks the character. It is worth mentioning here that the removal of taunting mechanism from the Hydro clones might have reduced the efficacy of the character but the Hydro clones will still provide Hydro DMG to the nearby enemies.
