As we approach closer towards the second phase of the current update, many Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks have started to pour in which gives us detailed information regarding the upcoming new area in Liyue named as The Chasm.
The Chasm’s arrival has kept the players on their toes as the new region will apparently be close to Sumeru according to lore of Genshin Impact. Although Sumeru’s release has not been talked by the officials as of now, fans believe that The Chasm might provide crucial hints regarding the desert nation as per the Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks.

Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks bring more details on The Chasm
HoYoverse had confirmed the addition of Chasm in the next update of Genshin Impact and fortunately, players got to know about the region beforehand, thanks to the Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks provided by the data miners. According to the leaks, Chasm will be divided into the Overworld and Underworld region.
Until yesterday, fans only knew about the locations of teleport waypoints and a new Statue of Seven but new Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks have recently surfaced online from a reliable source named BLANK who has mentioned the names of the areas that will be seen in the upcoming region near Liyue.
Overworld
The above picture taken from the tweet mentions the names of all the new areas that will be seen in the Overworld region of The Chasm. Here are the names:
- Lumberpick Valley
- Fuao Vale
- Surface Mines
- Cinnabar’s Cliff
- The Chasm’s Maw
- Tiangong Gorge
- Glaze Cliff
Underworld
Through some leaked screenshots of the area, players will be able to know that an entrance leads to the underground mines of The Chasm. The area names are the following-
- Nameless Ruins
- Stony Halls
- The Glowing Narrows
- Underground Waterways
- The Chasm main mining area
- Ad-Hoc Main Tunnel
- The Serpent’s Cave
As mentioned earlier by some side characters, Chasm was previously a mining area where the mining work was stopped due to some reasons. Players will find a new world boss named the Ruin Serpent in the underworld area.
Other Chasm leaks
Some other Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks stated that the loading screen of the 2.6 update beta displayed some information regarding a new Yaksha that could be found in The Chasm. As of now, there is only one Yaksha in the game who goes by the name Xiao and in Anemo playable character.
Players can also expect to see some new world quests revolving The Chasm region and primogem rewards once they defeat the Ruin Serpent.
