Genshin Impact 2.6 update
The 2.5 update of Genshin Impact has already entered its second phase with the rerun banners of Kokomi and Raiden. This makes players ardently wait for Genshin Impact 2.6 update’s special program that will reveal additional details on the update.
Even though players have got more than half of the information through leaks, the special program hosted before every update always brings some surprise for the players. One of the biggest mysteries surrounding the next update is the rerun banner as leaks were not able to figure out the accurate characters who are going to have a rerun banner soon. This article talks about the expected livestream date and possible content.

Genshin Impact 2.6 livestream date and more
The special program for any update usually occurs before two weeks when the update is officially rolled out. As the current rerun banners of the game will conclude on 29th March, it is highly possible that the Genshin Impact 2.6 update is going to be rolled out on 30th March. If that is the case, then players can expect the developers to host the special program on 18th March. However, this is just a speculation and the tentative date might differ.
As usual, the livestream will provide with three special redeem codes that will offer the players with almost 300 primogems. As these codes expire within a couple of hours, players should be active when the livestream is hosted and redeem the codes as soon as possible.
Expected content
As depicted in Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks, the next update is going to bring a lot of content and it seems like that most of the game’s story in the next update will center around the Inazuma region. Here is what players can expect from the next live stream
Character banner
The arrival of Kamisato Ayato’s banner in the first phase of Genshin Impact 2.6 update was confirmed by the developers. Ayato is going to be a 5-star Hydro character and he might be the only character banner of the first phase.
For the rerun characters, it can be assumed that two rerun characters will be seen in the second phase according to the previous trends. As of now, it is expected that Ayaka and Venti/Kazuha will get a rerun as Ayaka is the younger sister of Ayato and a rerun of Anemo character is likely due to the Spiral Abyss blessing.
Weapon banner
It is quite obvious that a new character will also bring a new weapon banner as we saw the release of Kagura’s Verity along with Yae Miko. According to the beta gameplay files, Kamisato Ayato will be released along with his signature weapon named Haran Tsukishiro Futsu. This sword provides huge buffs to Ayato’s normal attacks, therefore, it will certainly be a good pull.
However, it is currently unknown whether the signature weapons of the characters who are getting a rerun will be available in the game or not.
New artifacts
Several Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks had claimed that players will be able to see tailor-made artifacts for the Anemo character Xiao as well as the upcoming character, Ayato. The latter’s artifacts were much needed in the game and it has been speculated that we will get detailed information on artifacts in the special program.
New area
Just like the 2.4 update, players will be able to see the addition of a new area called The Chasm. This area will be an expansion of Liyue where players can explore the underground mines as well as the overworld region through different teleport waypoints. A new world boss named Ruin Serpent will also be available in this area.
New free 4-star character
As the 2.5 update of the game gave us a free 4-star weapon named Oathsworn Eye. It is expected that Genshin Impact 2.6 update will give us a new 4-star character for free. As of now, Xingqiu is expected to be given for free in the Inazuma festival.
