A Reddit Post uploaded on the sub reddit community of Genshin Impact leaks is grabbing attention as it claims that the beta testers belonging to the Chinese region have just been provided with Hu Tao along with her signature weapon, Staff of Homa so that the character’s synergy with Yelan at her maximum constellation can be discovered in Genshin Impact 2.7 update.
Even though there have been rumors going around that the next update might be shortened, the beta testing has kept the players alert to quickly grab any new information released from the leakers. The recent leak stating that Hu Tao and Yelan synergy is undergoing testing indicates that the Hydro character might be more suitable to vaporize reactions.
Yelan was previously given the name of “5-star Xingqiu” or “Xingiu 2.0” in Genshin Impact 2.7 update as her Elemental Burst allowed her to provide off-field Hydro DMG to the enemies just like Xingqiu does with his rain swords. However, it seems that the meta is shifting to vaporize teams more.
Is a Hu Tao rerun possible?

The chances of Hu Tao rerun are very uncertain since no other leaks regarding the next update indicate that Hu Tao is getting a rerun banner.
On the other hand, the character who seems most likely to get a rerun banner in Genshin Impact 2.7 update is Arataki Itto as Kuki Shinobu, the 4-star Electro character is becoming playable in the said update. Moreover, rumors regarding 2.7 update getting shortened are fresh and at this moment it would be absurd to think that the Pyro character will be getting her first rerun banner in the coming update.
