Genshin Impact 2.7 update "Hidden Dreams in the Depths"
HoYoverse, earlier today made an announcement regarding the maintenance time of the Genshin Impact 2.7 update, “Hidden Dreams in the Depths” and also provided the upcoming features and optimizations that have been made for the patch. This article discusses about the latest update notice given by the developers.
The character teaser of Yelan and the anticipation for using the Serenitea Pot function has made the wait for Genshin Impact 2.7 update irresistible. Players will also be gaining a significant amount of primogems further assisting them in pulling for the newly released banners.

When will Genshin Impact 2.7 update maintenance commence?
The pre-installation function for the upcoming patch is now available for mobile and PC users of the game. If they wish to download the update as soon as possible, they should start downloading the resources from today that requires a space of 6.76 GB. Apart from that, the developers have stated that the maintenance will commence from 2022/05/31 06:00 (UTC+8) and is estimated to take 5 hours.
Travelers should also be ensured of getting the compensation primogems of 300 when the maintenance is completed. As usual, players will also be provided with 60 primogems for every hour, the update is delayed but the compensation amount won’t be changed if the update is given out early. Apart from that, players will also get Dispatch Expedition Adjustment Compensation-

Update details
New characters
Two new characters, Yelan with the Hydro element and bow weapon, and Kuki Shinobu with the Electro sword combination will be released for the Genshin Impact 2.7 update. It was claimed through leaks that Yelan will be the first banner of the update whereas Kuki Shinobu will be seen in the second phase.
New weapons
Players will be glad to know that two new weapons will be available in the new update. ‘Aqua Simulacra’ is a bow weapon that fits well for Yelan and ‘Fading Twilight’ is another bow with the 4-star rarity. The latter bow is an event exclusive weapon that will be provided to the travelers once they complete the main event.
New Events
‘Perilous Trail’ will be the primary event for Genshin Impact 2.7 update. Travelers will be able to know the secrets of the missing Electro Yaksha name Bosacius when they go to The Chasm with Yelan, Kuki Shinobu, Itto, Yanfei and Xiao. Other events such as a drum music festival, toy making and others will also be available in the update.

New Main Story
After the game updates, new hangout story for Kuki Shinobu as well new story quests will be available in the Genshin Impact 2.7 update. Players can check out the main stories below-

- New Story Quest- Yelan’s Story Quest “Umbrabilis Orchis Chapter: Act I – Calculated Gambit”
- New Hangout Event- Hangout Event: Kuki Shinobu – Act I “The Gang’s Daily Deeds”
- New World Quests- “On the Stage, Behind the Stage,” “The Tales Behind the Fan,” and more
Apart from these new features and stories, the developers have made several optimizations for the Genshin Impact 2.7 update such as Talent recommendation section in the artifacts. Travelers will also be available to enjoy the Serenitea Pot function when the maintenance ends.
