Genshin Impact 2.8 beta registrations begins for Chinese players
As the 2.7 update of Genshin Impact that is going to bring Yelan and Kuki Shinobu as the new playable characerts and add the rerun banners of Xiao and Itto, players believed that the 2.8 update might be scrapped as Travelers are looking more forward to the Sumeru patch which is likely to occur in the 3.0 update.
Surprisingly, players got to know that the update is not going to be taken down as Chinese players can register for the Genshin Impact 2.8 beta. The recruitment is set to take place until May 13th and will give Chinese players an opportunity to try out the new content prepared in the game.
Now, the question arises is that if the Genshin Impact 2.8 update is supposed to arrive, then what will be the future of 2.7 update. There have been speculations as to the update getting shortened so that every future update could be released on time. Unfortunately, there is no news at this moment whether the upcoming patch will get shortened or not.
What will Genshin Impact 2.8 update bring?
According to some questionable leaks, the Genshin Impact 2.8 update is going to be filled with rerun banners with one character becoming playable with 4-star rarity. This is most likely going to be Shikanoin Heizou, the last character hailing from the Inazuma nation.
Heizou is said to be a 4-star Anemo character whose weapon is currently unknown. Players are speculating him to be an Anemo catalyst user which will make him the first male catalyst user in the game. He could appear on Kazuha’s rerun banner as the 5-star Anemo character is most likely to get his rerun in the Genshin Impact 2.8 update.
Apart from Kazuha, Pyro characters such as Klee and Yoimiya could also have a rerun as it has been a long time since they last got their rerun banners. Nevertheless, it would be too soon to determine anything as the update is many months away.
