Genshin Impact 2.8 leaks suggest Golden Apple Archipelago islands might be permanent

The time-limited islands released in the 1.6 update might become permanent in the world of Teyvat as hinted by Genshin Impact 2.8 leaks. Players will once again be able to enjoy exploring the Golden Apple Archipelago islands with a new summer themed event.

The 2.8 update will be available in the game on July but thanks to the data miners, we have been able to view a lot of content regarding the 2.8 patch beforehand. The primary content is of course, the Golden Apple Archipelago rerun.

The Genshin Impact 2.8 leaks has been able to keep the community engaged as the frequent information regarding the July patch such as Heizou’s kit, new summer event and new skins in the game has made the 2.8 update, one of the most anticipated patch to be added in the game ever.

The developers have decided to bring back the islands but this time with a little difference. According to UBatcha, Travelers will be provided with the chance of re-arranging the pieces of lands which will then reflect in the mini-map. Even though, the geographical area of the islands won’t change, players can take part in a fun puzzle kind of event.

It has also been stated through some reliable Genshin Impact 2.8 leaks that the new Golden Apple Archipelago will feature a huge castle and will be quite different from the islands released in the 1.6 update. Just like the 1.6 update, a new summer themed event named “Summer Sea Sojourn” will be added to the game where Travelers along with other characters can enjoy exploring the islands. UBatcha had made an amusing revelation that in the current beta, there is no “limited time” for the islands which insinuates that the islands might be permanent.

The event taking place in Golden Apple Archipelago will however, be time limited. It is also important to note that information from the beta update is subjected to change which means players should term these Genshin Impact 2.8 leaks as questionable until more reliable information is revealed.

Nevertheless, if the Golden Apple Archipelago islands are indeed available permanently, then players will be glad to set off o an adventure with other characters, hunt down enemies and collect materials and primogems from treasure chests.
