HoYoverse has dropped the announcement of the Genshin Impact 3.1 livestream program. The new update promises to be a lot more exciting than the current patch as it will introduce special events related to game’s second anniversary.

Sumeru was described as a nation divided by deserts and rainforests. As players have already encountered a rainforest-like environment on Teyvat before, they are ardently looking forward to the 3.1 update which will unlock the desert area.

Travelers have already entered the second phase of the 3.0 update and it was being expected that an announcement regarding the Genshin Impact 3.1 livestream program will be made soon. Much to the player’s joy, the developers have provided the date of the special program.

The livestream for the upcoming patch will be hosted on the 16th September which is almost two weeks before the update is released officially for mobile and PC users. Players can watch the program on YouTube and Twitch at the following time on their respective time zones-

  • IST (Indian Standard Time)- 1:30 PM
  • PST (Pacific Standard Time)- 1:00 AM
  • JST (Japan Standard Time)- 5:00 PM

Earlier, it was expected that the special program will be showcased with the Tokyo Games Show 2022 on 17th September as HoYoverse is making its appearance on that day but as the program has been brought ahead one day, it is possible that players might get to see some other announcements.

As revealed through the drip marketing as well as shown in the leaks, the 3.1 update will bring three new characters- Nilou, Cyno, and Candace. The Genshin Impact 3.1 livestream program will showcase the talents and combat abilities of these upcoming playable characters.

New desert area reveal

As confirmed by the leakers, HoYoverse will be introducing the desert area of the Sumeru nation in the 3.1 update. A new area also implies the arrival of new enemies such as Eremites as well as materials that are required for the ascension of upcoming characters.
